MIS Management Information Systems DSST Exam ExamFOCUS Study Notes & Review Questions 2012
DSST stands for DANTES Subject Standardized Tests. They are credit-by-examination tests intended for students to demonstrate proficiency in an area of study normally taught at a college. The MIS DSST exam covers topics that would typically be taught in an undergraduate computer course, with questions being delivered in computerized multiple-choice format.
This exam is different from the Introduction to Computing exam in that there are more business management elements but less coverage on social impacts. The exam is not too difficult. However, coverage is very comprehensive – a wide range of topics are presented in the official topic lists. The exam does not ask you to answer hundreds of questions. In other words, only a small fraction of the official topics will be presented.
